ANTOINE SCHNECK - THE GALLERY OF FAMOUS DOGS

MUSEE DE LA CHASSE ET DE LA NATURE - FROM 13th APRIL TO 26th SEPTEMBER 2010

Domesticated since Prehistoric times, dogs have made a gradual transition from the forest to the living rooms of theirs masters. And like them, they even agree to sit for portraits. Louis XIV even commissioned a likeness of his favourite hunting dogs for Marly Castle. The photographer Antoine Schneck offers a fresh look at this genre, exhibiting a gallery of portraits of the canine companions of some of our illustrious contemporaries.

Go to this exhibtion and stay in a Paris 3rd district apartment close to the Musée de la chasse et de la nature.
