THE CONGO RIVER, CORRESPONDENCES AND MUTATIONS IN THE CENTRAL AFRICAN ARTS

MUSEE DU QUAI BRANLY - FROM 22nd JUNE TO 3rd OCTOBER 2010

Showcasing 166 objects, the exhibition offers an exploration of the artistic tradition of central Africa (particularly Gabon and the Republic of Congo). Ranging from the forests lying north of the Congo river to savannahs in the south, this exhibition underlines the artistic links that exist in the work produced by the diverse communities of these regions, bearers of culture and traditions that are clearly distinct, but having a shared language in Bantu. These different styles and uses allow us to better understand the masterpieces of central Africa.

MY KEYS TO PARIS TESTIMONIAL

APARTMENT RENTED : Paris two bedrooms apartment at Grenier-Saint-Lazare

APRIL 2010 - We had a very enjoyable stay in this apartment. It was extremely comfortable for our family of four, including our two teenage children. The area was very safe, and we were thrilled to have the supermarkets next door and across the road. We also enjoyed all the local cafes and restaurants and the availability of the bus stop and metro(right outside the front). We were surprised at how quiet the apartment was - no street noise at all, and very little sign or noise from residents in the building. Geraldine, our landlady, was extremely helpful and always available by phone to answer any questions we had. We are looking forward to our next trip to Paris and will definitely stay here again.
