Three hundred recently discovered works, from classical Antiquity to the beginning of the modern period, reveal a little known civilisation. Original but open to outside influences, it flourished in the oasis communities that lined the caravan routes udes by traders and pilgrims. The majority of the works have never before been presented to the public.
