Our family of 5 spent a week in this Paris 3 bedroom rental, and the photos do not nearly do justice. It’s much more spacious and attractive than it appears in the photos, both the upstairs beds are doubles. The style is sort of a fresh “Ikea Plus” which we prefer, especially with kids, to the fake Louis XIV so common in Paris, and absolutely pefectly maintained and clean. Everthing, including the wifi and three or four English satellite news channels worked well, and it had nearly every appliance we have at home and a well stocked kitchen.
I have worked as a doctor in Paris and feel like I know Paris pretty well, and in my opinion the location is ideal. We enjoyed sending the kids out for fresh bread every morning from the renowned Gerard Mulot bakery a block away. Nearby is the Monoprix supermarket for the necessities and the incredible street markets on rue de Buci for fresh daily specialties. The guys at the Nicolas on Buci really enjoy talking wine and helping you select. There is; thankfully, a nice market cart provided with the unit. We enjoyed the restaurant Le Comptoir across the street with fantastic traditional bistro fare, but it is so popular with casual but stylish Parsians it is difficult to get a reservation.
My wife enjoyed the whole interaction with the various Buci street market vendors getting cooking suggestions and ideas for preparation, even though she does not speak French. Sure we did the whole Rick Steve’s tourist/museum thing but on top of that we were able to live, at least for a week, as modern Parisians in this charming apartment. This was for me much more educational and fun for my teen age kids than staying in separate anonymous hotel rooms. The business arrangements with “my keys to Paris” and thereafter in correspondence directly with the owner and the owner’s agent were at every moment prompt and professional. We had a signed contract with the owner and all of the owner’s phone and contact details. You never felt as though you were sending your money away to some mysterious third party. No problems at all with the business transactions. We would certainly stay here again!
