The exhibition recounts the second part of Renoir's carrer, from the beginning of the 1890's - which follows the painter's break with impressionism - until his death. At the time, Renoir turned towards decorative and classical art, nourished by masters of the past. This period, certainly the least well known, is often eclipsed by the impressionist years. Even so, it marks the beginning of new, rich research that makes Renoir one of the masters of modern painting.
